Sam Firth is an independent film maker and has made several short documentaries exploring personal experience including I.D. which won DepicT at Encounters in 2009 and the year long project Stay the Same. She recently directed a drama Creeling through the Scottish Film Talent Network Scheme.
Sam studied at the Northern Film School. Before this she worked for many years as a script reader and script editor and also assistant produced the feature film Chunky Monkey in 2001.
Sam has been devising and delivering educational film programmes for children and young people since 2007.
She also teaches at The Met Film School and Screen Academy Scotland and is a practicing script editor and screenplay consultant.
